 Humanities provides a framework for the development of student's knowledge and understanding of Australian society, societies in other countries, local and global environments and the interation of people with the environment over time.
 

Studies in the SOSE learining area allows students to develop knowlege, skills and values which enable them to participate as active and informed citizens in a democratic society and in the global community. In year 7 the themes for the course work are; Me, Myself and I, Ancient Civilisations, ANZACs, Disasters, Introduction to Geography, Threatened Species, Australia's Human and Natural Environments, Marine studies, The Outback and Democracy, Government and Elections.

 
 

Beyond Year 7

In year 8 this develops into the themes of Life in Medieval Times, Local History, Australian and World Environment and Ecosystems (including Antarctica, deserts and rainforests), World Exploration and Colonisation, Parliamentary Systems, Mapping, Weather (Australia and the world), Survival through history.

A range of units are offered at year 9 and 10 focusing on History, Commerce and Geography.
