Languages

Oberon High School offers three languages Other Than English. Students and parents will be asked to indicate their preferred language prior to enrolment and classes will be determined by these choices.
The languages offered are:
- Japanese
- German
- Indonesian
Students will study the language for three years and may elect to further these studies at year 10 or beyond. We believe that the sequential nature of this area of study requires a concentrated and consistent approach and our results at the senior level support this belief. |

Interest in LOTE is also fostered through providing students with the opportunity to visit the countries of their language choice. |
|
We have sister schools in Germany, Japan and Indonesia. In all cases we have regular exchange programs enabling students to experience a variety of cultures in a regulated environment, which further enhances their language skills. |
