Year 8 English Descriptive Writing Task

People:

Jazmin Feakes,

The letters, j, a, z, m, I, n spell out more then just her name. Each letter is a puzzle piece to her life. The first one might be as she is running down the hard and dirty soccer field with her smooth blonde hair flowing in the wind. As she passes her team mates with the small round ball among her feet, the skills of a professional but the size of a 10 year old.  Her eyes so tiny, blue and cute. Make them stand out from her face. With her ears also being small completes the puzzle.

Places:

Swing Chair

I grabbed a blanket I lay there when the wind passed by and the sun was rising up above the clouds. Listening to sounds I had never heard before: the chair squeaking; the trees swaying; and the birds flying by. The bright red, hot sun felt like it was warming the whole world up but really it was just covering the chills from my back and the shivers going up my legs. I lay there when the wind passed by and the sun was rising up above the clouds; keeping warm under the blanket as I moved around in the calmness of the swing chair.

Topic:

The Last Train

As my throat was dry and my breathing was heavy, I never looked back. Just kept my head up high and kept running. I didn’t want to miss it, I couldn’t, and I wouldn’t. Sirens going, dogs barking and the wind was blowing. All these sounds made my mind spin out of control, I couldn’t take it anymore, I just blocked it out and thought of the great happiness I would have after I got there. Never to have to wonder and worry about all these things ever again. Just keep on running I thought. Calming myself down and thinking of the beautiful trees flowing in the wind and the grass bristling with music. I heard the final call for all passengers and bolted straight for the carriage. I am going to, I will, and I am going to make it to my better life. All this tremor that had happened; the darkness in my life will now be full of great wellbeing and beautiful colours. I was on, had made the last train.
